Andy Phiefer co-owned Phiefer's luncheonette in Hackensack with his brother Art, along with the Country Hearth in Hillsdale, He and his wife, Ginger owned the Kings Ransom for 24 years in Waldwick, N.J. Now, their son Vic has joined them in providing one of the area's top dinning and drinking spots. An Early dinning menu is offered from noon -6 pm and all day on Thursdays till closing, entrees are served with Soup or Salad, Potato, vegetable and coffee from $8.95 - $14.95. Over 35 entrees to choose from, including their Bavarian dishes, seafood, chicken, beef and pastas. Lunch prices range from $8.95 - $ 10,95 with a special $4.95 "Country Lunch selection" a sandwich of the day or a Jr. Entrée for $5.95. Tuesdays the night to go to Kirkers, They offer their top "6" entrees for only $12.00! Sauerbraten, Wienerschnitzel, "Wurst" platter, Stuffed Shrimp. Broiled or Fried Seafood combo and Prime Rib. These are regular sized portions complete with soup or salad, choice of potato, fresh vegetable. Served between 6 pm and 8 pm. Almost anyone who grew up in the area remembers Kirkers famous thin crust pizza; the Phiefers are still making the same way, thin and crispy! They have a full bar with German beers on Tap.
